General Farm Maintenance (Welding Experience Required)

Got welding experience? Looking for solid work year-round? Live near Riana, Tasmania? 

 

We have a general all-rounder position at one of our berry farms located in Riana, Tasmania. The successful candidate will have had some basic welding experience in the past to help assist our Farm Manager and Maintenance Crew with their welding jobs.

 

Others jobs you may be asked to assist with include (but not limited to):

  • General weeding
  • Repairs of tunnels
  • Lifting of pots
  • Irrigation support
  • Ride-on mowing
  • Weed spraying
  • Welding and general repairs

Harvest work can be physical and in weather of all sorts – this means our workers must be physically fit and mentally tough. This is a casual position – whilst there are no guarantee of hours, this position will likely offer regular and consistent work.

Experience/Skills & General Requirements

  • Must have a current driver’s licence and own reliable transport
  • Must be available 7 days a week on a rotating roster (but not necessarily working every day)
  • Must have a can-do attitude, energetic, positive mindset and excellent attention to detail
  • Previous farming experience looked upon favourably, but not essential if you’re willing to learn and take on constructive feedback
  • Basic welding experience necessary for this particular role
